Fast File Uploads and Downloads
Working with the File Manager feels like working with your desktop computer. The integrated drag-and-drop functionality will enable you to easily transfer files between your computer and the web server. Just select the file that you want to upload from your personal computer and then drag it into your browser. The same applies to downloading a file from the File Manager to your hard disk drive. Moreover, you can download files and even folders to your hard disk by clicking the Download button.
Easy File Editing Options
With the File Manager graphical user interface, you can create a new file or folder with just a single mouse click. All action buttons are conveniently located above the file/folder list and you can modify your files with ease. You can rename or copy a file, move a file to a different folder, explore the contents of a file or modify its permissions, erase a file, etc.
Handy Archive/Unarchive Functionality
With the File Manager GUI, you will be able to pack and extract all types of files. It does work surprisingly fast - just select the files you want to make a zipped archive of and click the Compress button. You can even select the compression format (.rar, .zip, etc.). It is just as easy to extract files from an archive to a selected directory.
File Editors
With the File Manager, you actually do not need any third-party software to update your files. There is an image viewer, which permits you to see the contents of your image files to get an idea of how the images will actually appear on the web. Also, you will find a set of built-in file editors, which will grant you total command over your files. The plain text editor and the code editor are aimed at more experienced individuals, whereas the WYSIWYG editor (where you can view all HTML code changes in real time) is also suitable for technically inexperienced individuals.
